Salt Cave Session Questions
As a Wellness Center we aim to provide you with a comfortable setting to help you slow down, relax, and allow for mind and body healing. We have a serene waiting area in our main lobby as you check in and lounge before your treatments. We do not have shower facilities on site at this time.
What should I wear in the Salt Cave?
When visiting the salt cave, it’s best to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. The environment is typically cool and calming, so layers are a good idea in case you get chilly.
Here’s what you should consider:
- Comfortable clothing: Yoga pants, sweatpants, or shorts paired with a t-shirt or sweatshirt are great options. Tank top and shorts is great if you are wanting the salt to land on your skin as it may help with a variety of skin conditions.
- Socks: We require that you wear socks inside the salt cave.
We provide blankets for additional warmth if needed. If you’re doing something like yoga or meditation in the cave, make sure your outfit allows for movement.
What session should I take?
We have a few different options in the Cave for Salt Sessions:
Audio Music Salt Session– Sit back and relax, cover up with a blanket, breathe in the salt and enjoy a peaceful 45 minute session.
Audio Guided Meditation Session– Not sure you can sit still for 45mins? Listening to a guided meditation that walks you through relaxing your mind and body is a great option for you during your salt session!
In Person Guided Meditation Session– For a more personal touch, we will have in person guided meditation in the Cave walking you through a little breathing, a gentle stretch, and then sit back as you are guided into relaxation of mind and body while you receive Salt Therapy.
In Person Guided Movement Parent/Guardian and Child Salt Session– We have a once a week parent and child interactive Salt Session offered on Thursdays at 5pm. During this 30 minute session you and your child will be guided together in movements and exercises that help regain connection to one another and to your own bodies. It may be stretching, visualization, breathwork, and gentle strengthening exercises. This is done on the salt floor on blankets. If you are unable to sit on the floor, you can sit in a chair and your child can stand or sit in front of you so you can still do the exercises together. We love supporting parent/guardian and child connection in a safe and healing space. (You must be with a child to take this session)
What happens if I am late for my session?
Since our sessions begin promptly at the top of each hour, we ask you arrive at least 10/15 minutes before your scheduled session time so as not to disturb other clients once the session has begun. We are not able to allow anyone to enter the Cave after that. If you arrive after the session has started, we would be happy to reschedule you for the next session or a further date.

Massage and Ayurvedic Questions
What time should I arrive?
For Massage, It’s best to arrive at least 10/15 minutes prior to your massage treatment session. If it’s your first time with us we will have you fill out a quick health history form and questionnaire. For Ayurveda, Abyhanga and Shirodhara Ayurvedic treatments include a 15 min Infrared Sauna Session which you have the option to do before treatment. Your sauna time is built into your session. Please still arrive at least 10/15 minutes prior to fill out paperwork.
What do I wear during a Massage or CranioSacral Therapy?
For CranioSacral Therapy, clients remain fully clothed while resting comfortably on our massage table with a blanket or sheets. For Massage Therapy, clients may undress completely or to their comfort level, you are modestly draped with a sheet and blanket at all times.
What do I wear during Ayurvedic Treatments?
For Abhyanga, the warm herbal oils may sometimes have color due to the herbs, clients typically undress completely as you are modestly draped with towels and a sheet during your treatment. If you would feel more comfortable with undergarments on, we recommend bringing an extra pair to change into and making sure you are ok with a little oil that may get on them. During Shirodhara you only need to undress above the waist and you are modestly covered under sheets and blankets as the treatment is on the face, head, and scalp. For a Basti treatment, it is a localized oil treatment on the specific pain area. If getting a Janu Basti (knees), we only need to uncover the knees so wearing shorts would be ideal. If other areas of the body, you would undress enough to access those areas and drape you with towels and sheets.
How is my hair after a Shirodhara treatment? As Shirodhara is a stream of warm herbal oils over your forehead and flows down the scalp, your hair becomes very oily. The oils are nourishing for your scalp and hair so it’s recommended to leave them in 2-4 hours after. We have a plastic shower cap or turban to wear home so the oils don’t get everywhere, however, if you would like your hair washed following your treatment you may request it for an additional cost.
